Britney calls an exorcist

Britney Spears is calling in an exorcist to help beat her inner demons.

Reminiscent of the movie The Exorcist, Britney’s family hopes a spiritual cleansing will fix her problems.

According to a source: “Lynne [Britney’s mom] spoke to a priest who has agreed to help.”

“But she doesn’t expect Britney to projectile vomit - or her head to swivel round!”

Amy Winehouse Denied US Visa

Amy Winehouse’s request for a U.S. visa was denied by the U.S. Embassy. She had made an application so she could perform at the Grammys on Sunday.

“Amy has been progressing well since entering a rehabilitation clinic two weeks ago and although disappointed with the decision has accepted the ruling and will be concentrating on her recovery,” her publicist said.

However, she will still be performing by satellite.

I wonder if she’ll sing “Rehab”. It would be an appropriate (if not ironic) song choice.

Winehouse has been nominated for six awards.

Jessica Alba will only speak Spanish to her baby

Jessica Alba says she plans to speak to her baby in Spanish exclusively.

The problem? Jessica doesn’t know Spanish.

“I wish to God that my dad spoke Spanish to my brother and me, but he didn’t grow up with it.”

“Hopefully I can pick it up because I want my kids to speak Spanish. I don’t even want them to speak English for maybe the first two to three years, until pre-school.”

“We’re in the United States so they’re going to learn it anyway.”

Deepika supports Yuvi

Deepika Padukone has flown to Australia to cheer 'close friend' Yuvraj Singh [Images] in the ongoing four-match India-Australia Test series.

The Om Shanti Om actress will also celebrate her 22nd birthday on January 5 with the cricketer.

Deepika is expected to spend a month in Australia for the shooting of her Yash Raj film. But the actress left Mumbai two days before the start of her shooting schedule (which will begin on January 7) to spend time with Yuvraj.
Yuvi would definitely need the cheering after his dismal performance against the Aussies, having managed just 17 runs in three innings so far.

Deepika and Yuvraj have been linked up by the media on numerous occasions, though the couple have always mainatined that they are 'good friends.' Before Yuvraj came into the picture, Deepika was paired up with Indian captain M S Dhoni [Images], but she denied that as well.

Deepika's Yash Raj film will costar Ranbir Kapoor [Images], and will be directed by Siddharth Anand (of Salaam Namaste).

JODHAA AKBAR:RELEASE ON JAN 25:

Amidst all the rumours and speculations, an official statement has finally been made from the office of Ashutosh Gowariker Productions, announcing that Jodhaa Akbar, Ashutosh Gowariker's much awaited epic romance, will hit the big screen worldwide on January 25, 2008.

The change of release date is due to the fact that Jodhaa Akbar has an extremely demanding post-production schedule. Hopefully this will put to rest the umpteen rumours doing rounds that the delay has been caused by specific members of the cast and crew. Going by the response that the initial teaser posters have attained, we are sure the wait will definitely be worth it!

Jodhaa Akbar is a sixteenth century story about a marriage of alliance that gave birth to true love between the greatest Mughal emperor that ruled Hindustan, Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar, and the fiery young Rajput princess, Jodhaa.

With Hrithik Roshan as Akbar and Aishwarya Rai as Jodhaa, the film is produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions.

Frozen

Frozen is a monochrome film based on the life of a family living in peace in the Northern Himalayan Mountains. Lasya (Gauri), a girl in her late teens, lives with her father Karma (Danny Denzongpa) and younger brother Chomo (Angchuk) in a remote village.

The family's peaceful life is disturbed when the army moves into the village in search of a person but they find a frozen body instead. The following commotion and drama affects the life of this laid-back family leaving them perturbed.

The film is set in the high altitudes of the Himalayas and its icy cold visuals perfectly compliment the dark and somber mood of human emotions being showcased in the film.

Has the Indian film industry’s most talked-about couple tied the knot? According to a Mumbai tabloid, Saif Ali Khan married girlfriend Kareena Kapoor in a hush-hush marriage solemnised on Wednesday.

The Mumbai Mirror carries a report that claims the nikah ceremony took place at Saif's residence in Bandra on Wednesday.

They made their relationship public for the first time at Manish Malhotra's grand finale show at the Lakme Fashion Week Spring-Summer '07

Recently, Kareena reportedly made a “secret” trip to Bangkok to meet Saif, who was shooting there for Kunal Kohli's upcoming film.

Following this, the couple left for Greece to shoot for Tashan.
